The White River is tail water below Bull Shoals Dam. Like all tail water fisheries, it is subject to dramatic water level changes according to the power generation and or flood control. Part of our duty at White River Troutfitters is to monitor predicted generation and make the right decision as to what part of the river to fish. There are 60 miles of river to choose from. The first 20 miles are more populated and commercialized, but still have  beautiful scenery and great fishing, while the lower 40 miles are more natural. Being an independent guide service, we can choose to fish wherever the water is best and take pride in having the experience to make those choices.
